Bombshell June Blog Hop ~ Boy Toys!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by today! I am involved in another bombshell stamps blog hop. This one is for June!! Here are the details:

Time for being hot...it's summer! So what's the deal with a "Boy Toy" bloghop. Well, it's dedicated to the men in our lives. Doesn't have to be a boyfriend or husband..... maybe a soldier, a father, or just a masculine theme or card. Bombshell stamps have always been great for "manly" things, but now more than ever. Just think about the new digi clothes stamps for the Bombshell Angel. The policeman, fireman, etc... they are GREAT for sending out that perfect card. AND MAN...the new motorcycle stamps !!! Perhaps your project will just use masculine colors...maybe a great Father's Day project.

So this is what I have for you today. I have discovered with only 2 sets of Bombshell stamps I definitely need to invest in a couple more!! I hope I can use that for my July treat to myself but I have some catching up first... I used the lil devil image from my bombshell set. I also added some button brads and funky fiber. I know how men love fuzzy and funky-I think it reminds them of the bedroom.... lol!! Anyways I also found I use an awful lot of red for my men cards. I think I need to break out of my shell and try something different...

So now you get to continue on your hop! If you didn't get here from the start make sure you click on Kas's blog link and start at the beginning!

Getting behind and sharing some older work...

Well I still have not had a chance to get to my stamp table, but I am really nhopeful I do this weekend. I do want to share an older card I made with you though. This is one of my favorite stamp sets - watercolor minis. I rarely use vellum, but was really pleased with how this turned out!
Thanks for stopping by and I would love to know what you think!

Watercolor Trees

I really struggled with this challenge for VSN. It was to watercolor and use lots of muddy brown. I recently got this image from Unity Stamps and I find it somtimes hard to make it work just right. Anyways, I attempted my watercoloring with my chalks and aqua painter and added some DSP under the image. A few tiny brads and some kraft tafetta finish the look.

Thanks for coming by. Any advice you have for watercoloring would be great!!! See you soon!

Asian Inspired

I made this card for this past weekends VSN over at Splitcoast Stampers. The challenge was to incorporate versa mark either as a watermark or using with some clear embossing powder. I went with the straight watermark. I used my new set from Close to My Heart and also this Anya stamp that I had received as a Wsih RAK image. Thanks so much for her! She is awesome!

Anyways, I added some eyelet looking brads and used my border puch for a bit of texture. What do you think???

Thanks so much for coming by and I will see you soon!
